College Colors Day Funds for Food Drive

College Colors Day at Sumter Landing: August 29, 2025
The On Wisconsin Club is participating in this year's College Colors Day, put on by the The Villages Daily Sun and sponsored by Publix. The event is a fundraiser for local food pantries. We are proud to be teaming up with the other Wisconsin clubs of The Villages.
College alumni and fans will compete against each other to raise the most money between August 18 and August 28. On August 29, the community will gather at Sumter Landing Market Square to find out which group rose to the top. This event is a fundraiser rather than a food drive, so the competition is based on HOW MUCH MONEY EACH SCHOOL CAN RAISE.
This is the year Wisconsin makes the podium. Our 2025 goal is $10,000. There are over 1,000 members in the three Wisconsin clubs. If everyone donates $10 to this fundraiser that will add $10,000 dollars to our total and guarantee a spot in the top three.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
1. Donate to the cause.
2. Volunteer to help decorate.
We will be setting up two tents on August 29 to decorate and gather together for activities and fun. We would love to have your help. Nobody helps out better than folks from Wisconsin.
3. Come to the event and show your spirit.
On August 29, the community will gather at Sumter Landing Market Square to celebrate this fantastic event. Come show your support! The day's schedule is as follows:
1:00 pm - Cornhole tournament
3:00 pm - Wisconsin Tents will be available
5:00 pm - Live entertainment begins, featuring Scooter the DJ
6:00 pm - The school fight songs will be played
7:00 pm - The annual group photo will be taken
The bar huts will be open and food trucks will be parked on the square. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed group and the best school spirit. Wisconsin has won the spirit trophy the last two years. Let's do it again.
Even though our club has alumni from many Wisconsin-based universities, UW-Madison is the fundraising, decoration, and school-spirit clothing for this event. Join us in supporting Wisconsin, no matter your particular alma mater. UW-Madison's colors are Red and White.
